I haven't found it in the thread, or seen an option in the settings in the app, so ...

Is it possible, or can it be made possible in a future version, to store the data (especially charts and plates) on the external SD card on Android devices? Many devices still have limited on-board flash memory but 64 GB micro-SD cards are cheap, so that seems like a good option. Most other programs (most notably OSMand (street navigation) and VFRnav (air navigation)) offer this option.

Thanks and sorry if this has been answered before.

Bernd

How do other apps tend to offer this option?

In apps for older Android versions, one could select an absolute path. This is no longer possible since (I think) 4.4, where each app, when given the permission to save to external SD-Card, can only save in its own private location.

I'm not an Android developer, so I can't give you any details, but such function should be documented.

I am also a bit confused why this should be a problem, since SkyDemon already has permission to read and write SD card contents.

Kind regards,
Bernd
